You can apply for your choosen programme online.

Please note that applications for the September and January semesters will only be accepted during the period specified below:

Documents

You are required to have a online application and supporting documents submitted to administration department within two (2) weeks of completing your application.

Your application will only be considered completed and ready for review when it is received with all the supporting documents.

Requirements

Certificate Programmes
  • You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
  • Formal qualifications are not required and you can enter the program with limited or no experience.

Certificate graduates can enter our Graphic Design Diploma programme.

  • You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
  • Able to develop ideas/concepts
  • Able to use creative software

Additional Requirements
You should show signs of creativity and imagination and have an ability to find practical solutions to problems. You would like a career in the creative industry.

This is programme is an ideal route for students who are looking to further their education onto a Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or another design related subject.

It is essential that prospective students have knowledge of design theory and the ability to use creative software. Candidates who fall outside of the general admission criteria and selections are encouraged to enroll in the foundation design programme.

Which is more important to me now, Certificate of portfolio?

PIxels Level II is designed with portfolio development at its core. This is key, because when trying to break into the field of graphic design, having a solid portfolio is crucial for entry in tertiary education and essential for landing jobs and prospects clients. When employing a junior designer, most employers would initially look at an applicant's portfolio to see the quality of their work. If their portfolio was poor, it is unlikely they would ask that person in for an interview regardless of their academic achievements.

As much as we would like to, unfortunately we are not able to guarantee such, but what we can say is; if you apply yourself throughout the course, listen to the advice of the lecturers and build strong relationships during your time here you will leave with the best chance of finding work afterwards.

This courses provides you with a solid foundation about what Graphic Design is. The core aim of the courses teach you about how to design and use a process which will allow you to take a brief from concept to final development.

Students learn the language of design and focuses on them building a strong foundation in the theory and application of design processes. They acquire the core knowledge and understanding in the generation of conceptual visions, allowing them to gain valuable insights into the application and use of the Design Process, Elements and Principles of Design, Typography, Layout Techniques and Colour usage.

Along the way you will apply skills and knowledge of creative software to assist in the outcome of your product.?

The Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE)

All the Diploma programme, except the Higher Nationa Diplomas are eligible for the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE)

The Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE) programme is a one hundred per cent, tuition fee funding programme offered by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. Only nationals of Trinidad and Tobago are eligible to apply, and students must be registered in a course of study leading to a tertiary level qualification.

Important:
Students must note that GATE funding is available for the duration of their course of study and one year beyond. Students who fail to complete their programme within the stipulated time frame will be required to meet the cost of programme completion.

The Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP) is a special loan facility made available to citizens of Trinidad and Tobago who are enrolled in an approved tertiary level programme at a registered tertiary institution to meet the following expenses:

  • tuition fees
  • Accommodation
  • Airfare and other transportation costs
  • Personal maintenance costs and living expenses
  • Books and related materials
  • Special equipment
  • Other related tertiary expenses
